King Edward Vll Preceptory of Improvement visit to
Province of Gloucestershire and Somerset

Members of the KEVII PoI were invited to attend the Jean Parisot De La Valette Preceptory for the presentation of a "Competent Preceptors" certificate to Em.Kt. John Randall. The certificate, issured by the KE VII Preceptory of Improvement, entitles John to be a qualified Preceptor at any Provincial Preceptory of Improvement. John had the privilege of having the certificate presented by the Right Eminent Provincial Prior, Roger Stuart Edgar. The Provincial Prior said that not only was he proud of John's achievement but also the Province. He then went on to say that it would benefit all if they were able to attend the KEVII PoI. The evening was a delightful occasion and concluded with a sumptuous meal at the Refectory.

The day before we attended the Bladud Preceptory in Bath. For anyone who has not had the privilege of seeing this Temple it is a must. It is steeped in history, having numerous Masonic artifacts on display, and was certainly worth a visit in its own right. We all agreed that the warmth and hospitality extended to us as visitors was exceptional and very much appreciated. It should also be mentioned that the quality of their work was extremely good. A visit to this old Preceptory is highly recommended and we promised that we would return in November for another special evening.
